LessonSketch was founded in 2025.
This library has been developed by The GRIP Lab group at the University of Michigan. The group does research and development on the teaching of mathematics and the professional preparation of mathematics teachers.

Here you will find Lesson Libraries with a wide collection of lesson representations and insightful annotations developed by members of our community on different mathematics topics using a variety of representations of practice, including storyboards and animations. This library offers the user diverse approaches to teaching mathematics lessons. By comparing alternative representations for the same lesson, individuals can reflect on and refine their perspectives on instructional practices.
You will also find ongoing Facilitated Courses designed for secondary mathematics teachers. These online courses allow teachers to collaborate with peers using multimedia tools to create or annotate lesson storyboards under the guidance of expert facilitators. This unique experience fosters creative and innovative approaches to lesson delivery through engaging discussions with fellow educators. The storyboards and annotations produced serve as valuable references for the broader teaching community.
